SKANEATELES — The Skaneateles Village Board of Trustees
announced this week that it unofficially has been awarded a
$400,000 Local Government Efficiency Grant from a New York State
Department of State.

systems and income from this state endowment is earmarked to fund

Once a Town of Skaneateles decommissions dual reservoirs it owns,

join a village's H2O mains and use a village's dual tanks to
provide H2O for a customers.
"The dual tanks will be utilized, so in further to assembly the
village's needs they will also supply a needs of a town,"
Lotkowictz said.
The three-component plan — UV H2O filtration system, water
tank refurbishment and decommissioning of a town's reservoirs —
will take some time, he said. The $400,000 provides significant
assistance toward a execution of a project, Lotkowictz said.
